A stunning 9k gold Albert chain featuring two dog-clip style clasps, a t-bar and and antique 9k gold padlock.
This necklace offers amazing versatility as you can wear it with or without the padlock, simply open it up to remove it. You can attach other treasures to the Albert chain or even add them in addition to the padlock.
The necklace and padlock both test as 9k gold (9ct gold in British English). The padlock is hallmarked, though the hallmarks are pretty rubbed due to being worn and loved, I can make out that it's stamped for 9k, but it's difficult to see which assay office and which year (my best guess is Birmingham around 1900).
The necklace measures 49cm / 19.25" and weighs 44.49 grams, it's a lovely weighty necklace without being overly chunky.
Styled here for a slightly smarter / wear to work look, this necklace looks equally amazing with a v-neck t-shirt and jeans.
